Reserve a Shelter/Picnic Area

Park Shelters/Areas

While you may picnic at any of our parks for free special occasions might call for an advance reservation of a shelter or area. Shelters are available at Aldeen, Alpine, Black Hawk, Dahlquist, Fair Grounds, Levings, Page, Park-er Woods, Searls, and Sinnissippi parks. Martin Park has an indoor shelter available for rent.

Reserveable picnic areas (shelters excluded) are in Sinnissippi, Black Hawk and Alpine parks. Other picnic areas are available for reservations. Please call Customer Service at 815-987-8800 for more information.

Reservations can be made by credit card online or over the phone up to 365 days in advance. Reservations must be paid at the time of reservation.

Any group or organization wishing to use a park for purposes other than a picnic must apply for a Special Use Permit. The Park District will assist in providing (on a fee and availability basis) this equipment: showmobiles, bleachers, picnic tables. For more information, please call 815-987-8800.
