Golf Course Rules
- United States Golf Association (U.S.G.A.) Rules govern all play.
- RESERVE TIME CANCELLATION PROCEDURE: Golfers wishing to cancel the reserved time must do so at least 24 hours prior to the tee time. In the event of course closure due to inclement weather, every effort will be made to accommodate the golfers affected. Times during the delay are invalid.
- PLAYDAYS, TOURNAMENTS, & GROUPS: Business, social and service groups desiring a Playday, Tournament or Group outing, where all members of the group are permitted to tee off on a prearranged schedule, should contact the Golf Services Office at 987-1602.
- Rain checks are issued to individuals who have paid for a service and are unable to use that service. Rain Checks are valid for the current golf season. Rain Checks will not be issued for Twilight Play (3:00 pm).
- Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in parks or special facilities of the Rockford Park District.
- Beer and wine will be served at Elliot, Ingersoll, Sandy Hollow and Aldeen Golf Course.
- No practicing is allowed on regular greens and fairways; use designated practice areas only.
- No food, drink or clubs are to be brought inside the clubhouse.
- No twosomes allowed when course is crowded. Tee Master will reserve the right to make up foursomes. No more than four players allowed in a match.
- No more than two riders to a motorized car. Cars will only be rented to those with a valid Driver's license who are 18 years of age or older.
- Non-Permit Holders must show identification to prove residency.
- Golf bags and pull carts must be kept off greens. Motorized cars must be kept 5 to 10 feet from greens and tee areas. Use Cart paths when provided. All carts must be kept out of sand bunkers. Failure to comply could result in revocation of cart privileges without a refund.
- If your group loses one clear hole on the players in front, it must allow the group following to pass.
- A limited permit holder must sign up to play before 3:00 p.m. weekdays April-October. Teeing off at any other time, a greens fee must be paid.
- A youth permit holder must sign up to play before 3:00 p.m. weekdays June-August. Teeing off at any other time, a greens fee must be paid.
- No pets allowed on the golf course.
- The Rockford Park District and its personnel assume no risk of liability for injuries of any nature to anyone on the premises or for the loss or damage to personal property.
- Registered players coming off of #9 green have the right-of-way onto #10 tee. Golfers stopping between nines, may lose their position in play and may not be able to continue.
- All season permit holders must show their permit each time they play.
- No more than five minutes may be spent looking for a lost ball.
- No person other than the approved concessionaire may sell golf equipment, refreshments or other items on Rockford Park District premises.
- Play one ball only--NO MULLIGANS.
- Golfers wishing to pay by check must provide a valid driver's license. Checks will be accepted for the amount of sale only.
