Celebrate your birthday at Lockwood Park. We have three different birthday packages to meet your birthday party needs. We will handle all the details. Between our two locations within the park, we can accommodate up to a maximum of 40 including children and adults. Offered Saturday afternoons, April through October.

Private Hay Rides
Spend a simple, relaxing and rustic day or evening at Lockwood Park! Groups can schedule either 20 or 45 minutes tractor-drawn hay rides that travel through the woods and meadows of Lockwood and Page parks. Maximum 20-25 people per wagon. Offered May-October (weather dependent.)
 
Family Reunions, Large Groups and Company Picnics
Looking for a unique place with activities for everyone for your family event or company picnic? Fees based on group size and programs selected. Call us to help you plan a special event or outing for groups of all sizes - 20 to 2,000+!
 
Buildings and Shelters
The Trailside Centre meeting room is available for group rental April-October during regular business hours. There are also two open covered shelter buildings, Little Ponderosa with ten picnic tables and Big Country with 20-25 picnic tables. Please call 815-987-8809 for additional information or to make your reservation.

Bonfire
Add some "down home" fun to your outing! We'll build a bonfire, provide you with wood, you light it and put it out when you leave.

Garden Plots
If you have a green thumb but lack the black dirt, consider renting a garden plot at Lockwood Park. Garden plots are 20'x30' spaces (size approximate) and water access is available. For more information, contact Rockford Park District Customer Service at 815-987-8800, 888-871-6171 TTY.
