Code of Conduct:
- Greens Superintendents, Play Coordinators, Tee Masters, Cash Control Attendants and course officials have full authority to force compliance to all rules and code of conduct. Failure to comply may be grounds for removal from the course.
- Golfers must adhere to a Dress Code. The minimum requirement for dress at Elliot, Ingersoll, Sandy Hollow and Sinnissippi is a properly worn shirt, shorts and acceptable footwear.
- Golfers must wear shoes at all times. Golf or low-heeled shoes required; no other shoes permitted at any time. Non-Metal Spike Golf Shoes are required at all Park District Golf Courses. Shirts and shoes must be worn in the clubhouse.
- Golfers are required to take care of the course; this includes: a) Carefully repair any damage to putting greens made by the ball or players; b) All divots must be replaced at once and pressed down; c) Smooth over all holes and footprints in sand bunkers.
- Golfers are liable for damage to private and public property.
- Golfers should not play until players in front are out of range.
- Abusive language or profanity will not be tolerated.
- Golfers and Spectators must read and abide by all posted signs and warnings.
- Golfers and Spectators must refrain from participation while under the influence of control impairing substances.
- Golfers must refrain from acting in a manner that may cause or contribute to injury of himself or herself or any other person.
- Golfers and Spectators must refrain from instigating or becoming involved in any type of altercations with any other golfer or spectator and shall not engage in abusive, abrasive or disorderly conduct.
- All players must be present before registration.
- Smoking is not allowed in buildings of the Rockford Park District.
- EACH PLAYER IS REQUIRED TO HAVE A BAG AND AT LEAST THREE CLUBS, ONE OF WHICH SHALL BE A PUTTER. NO TWO PEOPLE ARE PERMITTED TO PLAY OUT OF ONE BAG.
- Any permit holder caught passing his/her golf permit to another person will forfeit all remaining golf privileges associated with that permit.
- When the play of a hole has been completed, players should immediately leave the putting green. Only a putter and no stroke other than putting shall be played on or from a putting green.
- Gambling of any type is prohibited on Rockford Park District Golf Facilities.
